The sporty range founded by legendary tennis player René Lacoste, nicknamed The Crocodile, hence the logo. In 1933 Lacoste and André Gillier of France’s largest knitwear manufacturing firm at the time set up a company to make the logo-embroidered shirt designed by the champion for his own use on the tennis court. Today, the iconic polo shirt is still produced and is still just as stylish off the golf or tennis court as it is on.
